Stella Magnus is a mod for Minecraft 1.19.4 that aimed to go far beyond the scope of the already existing space mods out there. It is inspired by Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate, and more.
Inspiration
Minecraft's progression sucks. You can get full diamond tools and armor in just an hour or two these days. This mod aimed to enhance the progression by extending the journey of getting better tools and armor with a cool space theme.
Technical Aspects
Learning to make a Minecraft mod was very challenging at the time due to the source code being obfuscated. I had to learn many new aspects of the Java programming language, complicated JSON files, and more. That and the lack of resources made me feel burnt out after two weeks, so I stopped working on the mod.
